If a picture is worth a thousand words, then maybe these walls of text are a bit redundant. Either way, the new decade warrants an episode release, so without further ado, I present to you: Mouryou no Hako 04 BD.
Unfortunately for you, reading posts is still mandatory.

We’ve noticed some minor timing errors related to episode 03 of Mouryou no Hako, hence this post.
The patch below fixes the issues. Simply extract the contents of the archive to the location of episode 03 and run mouryou03v2_patch.bat, after which a new file should be created on your HDD. Check the readme for more info.
We’ve also made a new torrent for those of you that didn’t download 03.
Note that if you already have episode 03v2, you do NOT need the patch.

[02:45] <blackguard> the sigh he holds up is fantasting
So, it’s been a while since there’s been any update about progress on the blog. The main reason for this was because there wasn’t any. It is, however, quite amazing how quickly things can turn around. We have had the good fortune to acquire both a new TL (welcome zaudragon) and a new TLC (welcome sputnik). So what does this mean? Well, it means our main project, Mouryou no Hako, is back online. As we have previously stated, we will be working with the Blu Rays, which we are in the process of procuring.
As for our other project, Blade of the Immortal, the official status is that it is not dropped. That being said, our new staff have joined us to work on Mouryou, and so unless we find someone who wants to translate BotI expect progress on it to be slow to non-existent (If anyone reading this feels they’re up to the job, applications are open so feel free to drop by #norikumi and poke either myself or blackguard)
We at Norikumi are very excited that MnH is finally moving again, expect something from us in the not too distant future.

UPDATE: Whoever did it has our thanks. We’ve found the BD.

According to Amazon, THE BD-Box (1080p) will be released on the 22nd of May.
The good source
Updates: Our TL decided to leave us because of RealLife™ problems, so we’re not going to be able do to anything withoug a new TL. If you are (or know) a JPN>EN translator that would be interested in helping us, send us a mail or drop by our irc channel. This applies for both Mouryou no Hako and Blade of the Immortal.
P.S.: We have 4 episodes ready, just waiting on the BD. So even if we don’t find a translator, we will release those for your viewing pleasure.

After considerable discussion in the dark and scary place that is our staff channel, we have all agreed that we are no longer going to continue releasing subs using the broadcast feed. Instead we are going to work with the Blu-Ray discs that are going to be available sometime in April. This is official, and our final decision.
Our reasons for doing it are as follows:
- We’re not going to finish the series before the BDs come out. If we take an average estimate of mid-April for the release of the BDs, then that’s about 10 weeks from now, meaning we’d have to release more than one ep/ week to finish before they’re available. This clearly isn’t going to happen, and even if we could do it, who wants to start work again on a show they just finished?
- One of the main factors that has been causing delays in the first place is the fact that the video source is a bitch to work with. If we use the BDs, not only will they look awesomely sexy (which is what the show deserves) but it’ll actually be less work for our encoder.
Also, don’t worry – we’ll be using the time to make sure that all the scripts are done and dusted come April – so we should actually be speedy with the releases for a change
Secondly, blackguard mentioned that we may pick up another series to fill the time. Well, it seems as though the full team is willing to pick up another project – the only problem now is that we don’t know what to do XD. If anyone has any suggestions for some good (preferably seinen, but definitely srsbznz) animu that would benefit from Norikumi brand quality, please feel free to let us know.
That’s all for now,
-Urexis

We’re on hiatus until the BD rips come out.
We will probably pick up another show in the meantime. Stay tuned.
